Strange News Headline from Thailand: Serial Breast Drugger Robs Again”

Yes, there are some pretty bonkers news stories and headlines in Thailand, but “Serial Breast Drugger Robs Again” really caught my eye. From the Bangkok Post:

CHIANG MAI – A woman who accompanied a doctor to a hotel room, then drugged him with a substance daubed on her breast and stole his money and car has committed similar crimes before in other towns, police said on Thursday.

Police have obtained a fresh arrest warrant for the suspect, Kritaya Jomnoppakun, 26, for robbery.

The victim, identified only as a doctor, told police that he was lured to a hotel room by a woman he met in a nightclub. There she drugged him with an anaesthetic painted on her breast, reports said. After he passed out, the woman robbed him and stole his car.

Police identified the suspect from hotel’s security cameras, which caught her arriving  with the victim and leaving alone 15 minutes later.

Police have tracked down the stolen car, which suspect had left at her friend’s home, who is also facing a criminal charge for abetting in the robbery.

Ms Kritiya is already wanted for other similar crimes and several arrest warrants have been issued — in Bangkok, Tak and her home town in Chantaburi province. Police said they will post her picture in hotels, nightclubs and other entertainment venues in Chiang Mai.

The anesthetic is likely to be a Chinese made drug which has been used in several rape crimes recently, police said.

About faranginbangkok

I began working in Bangkok during 2008- a time that featured a great deal of political unrest in Thailand and particularly Bangkok. I had lived in San Francisco for 15 years and was working on a project in Thailand. Generally, I spent 2 weeks in Bangkok and then 3-4 weeks in San Francisco. Did Bangkok begin to feel like home? Yes, and No. Bangkok and the Thai culture forced me to feel many things, the change in culture and environment was so dramatic it forced the decision- embrace or ignore. I embraced and made Bangkok my home and base in 2009. I have enjoyed living in Bangkok, experiencing Thailand and the entire ASEAN region. I moved to Singapore in 2016...fallen behind on this blog since.
